It's been a while

I'm getting there, but it's been a tough haul. I'm taking a course at Regent College--Vocation, Work and Ministry  (3 more after this) and the prof very considerately frontloaded the first 6 weeks with 90% of the work! 1,000 pages of reading recorded and commented in a reading log and a 3,000 word paper. Tonight I took an evening off and got caught up on some facebook & Xanga. I looked through some photos and decided it's been too long since Christmas and Deroche. Thankfully my birthday is in a couple of weeks and the clan will be together again. So Christmas photos....I haven't used my camera much since then!

This is why we built an addition to our house 8 years ago! Fewer living at home, but many coming home! (And no, I don't know why Mike has his head covered with aluminum foil!)

Another family photo

Early this month we went to Deroche for a couple of days. What a great time having all our children and grandchildren together. I'm having a few issues with photos, but here's the group shot similar to the one Esther posted. I think everyone is visible--quite a challenge when it's a casual photo on a timer and the photographer dashes in to take his place. (Thanks, Mike!)

Wishing you all a blessed Christmas

 Peace Arch 3

Here's the whole crew. The photo was taken in the summer, when we were celebrating the August birthdays at Peace Arch Park. We clambered onto the Peace Arch itself. (Doesn't Peter just look like a real patriarch, up front and centre!!)

This whole bunch will be over for Christmas dinner. The stuffing is made; the turkey is ready to be stuffed before church tomorrow; I tried a new cranberry sauce recipe, and the rest everyone else is bringing.

Hope all you Xangsters have a wonderful day.

Deja Vu

This past September Deb started a course of studies at SFU in relation to her new position at CCES. I offered to mind the kids on Tuesdays, even after she told me it was "A Newspaper Day!" After 18 years of our own kids doing papers, I figured it would be a piece of cake to help grandkids. I was right. They were very efficient, and with the 5 of us we got the job done in record time. I'm sorry that I don't have photos of Mitchel & Josie. In January, Deb's class switches to Thursday. No papers. Shucks!
